Hello, I will be in Thailand on 20/5, departing from Argentina with a layover in Ethiopia. Which country should I put as the transit country to fill out the form?
-1
AnonymousAnonymousMay 17th, 2025 2:48 AM
For the TDAC form, you must enter Ethiopia as the transit country, as you will have a layover there before arriving in Thailand.

Has the last name with ö, should I replace it with oe instead?
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 16th, 2025 2:28 PM
For TDAC, if you have letters in your name that are not A-Z, replace them with the nearest letter, so for you just "o"
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 16th, 2025 8:00 PM
You mean instead of ö
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 16th, 2025 10:44 PM
yes "o"

Enter the name exactly as it appears on the ID page of the passport at the bottom in capital letters in the first line of the machine-readable code.

My mother has a Hong Kong SAR passport. Since she applied for her Hong Kong identity document when she was young, it does not have the month and day of birth. Her Hong Kong SAR passport only has the year of birth but no month or day. Can she apply for TDAC? If so, how should she write the date?
-3
AnonymousAnonymousMay 16th, 2025 11:45 AM
For her TDAC, she will fill in her date of birth. If she has any questions, she may need to resolve them upon arrival. Has she used this document to go to Thailand before?

If a foreigner with a work permit goes on a business trip for 3-4 days, do they still need to fill out the TDAC? They have a 1-year visa.
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 15th, 2025 2:31 PM
Yes, regardless of what type of visa you hold or if you have a work permit, if you are a foreigner traveling to Thailand, you must fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) every time you enter the country, including cases where you go on a business trip and return within a few days. The TDAC replaces the old form TM6 entirely.

It is recommended to fill it out online in advance before entering the country to facilitate passing through immigration.

In the case of being a US NAVY member who entered the country on a warship, do I need to fill it out?
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 15th, 2025 12:09 PM
TDAC is a requirement for all foreigners entering Thailand, but if you are traveling by warship, it may be considered a special case. It is recommended to contact the commanding officer or relevant officials, as travel on behalf of the military may be exempt or have different procedures.

AnonymousAnonymousMay 14th, 2025 7:17 PM
What if I did not complete a digital arrival card prior to entering?
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 14th, 2025 7:20 PM
It is only an issue if you did not complete a TDAC and entered Thailand after May 1st.

Otherwise, it's completely fine not to have a TDAC if you entered before May 1st, as it did not exist at that time.

On the agent TDAC form, you can click back and check if you added an eSIM, and uncheck that if you do not need one, then it should be free.

A foreign YouTuber commented that the names of sub-districts or districts appearing in the options use spellings that do not match those on Google Maps or actual usage, but follow the logic of the creators, such as VADHANA = WATTANA (V=วฟ). I recommend checking and comparing with the reality that people use so that foreigners can find the terms more quickly.

AnonymousAnonymousMay 14th, 2025 2:12 PM
The TDAC portal for agents correctly supports the spelling of the district VADHANA as an alternative spelling for WATTANA.

If the destination in Thailand includes multiple provinces, please fill out the address in which province when applying for the TDAC.

For filling out TDAC, only specify the first province you will travel to. Other provinces do not need to be filled out.

Is it necessary to print the document, or can I just show the PDF document on my mobile to the officer?
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 13th, 2025 5:23 PM
For TDAC, you do not need to print it out.

However, many people choose to print their own TDAC.

You just need to show the QR code screenshot or PDF.

0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 13th, 2025 5:22 PM
There seems to be an error in the main TDAC system.

If you remember the issued TDAC number, you can try editing your TDAC.

If not, try this: https://tdac.agents.co.th (very reliable)

Or reapply through http://tdac.immigration.go.th

In the case of extending a tourist visa for those who arrived before May, how can I stay for another 30 days?
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 13th, 2025 2:31 PM
TDAC has nothing to do with extending your stay. If you enter before May 1, you do not need TDAC at this time. TDAC is required for entry into Thailand for non-Thai nationals only.

Potargent EdwinPotargent EdwinMay 13th, 2025 10:45 AM
One can stay 60 days without a visa in Thailand, with the option to apply for a visa exemption of 30 days at an immigration office. Must one fill in the return flight date on the TDAC? Now there is also the question of whether they are returning from 60 to 30 days, making it difficult to book for 90 days to go to Thailand in October.
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 13th, 2025 2:29 PM
For the TDAC, you can choose a return flight 90 days before arrival if you are entering with a 60-day visa exemption and plan to apply for a 30-day extension of your stay.

Although my country of residence is Thailand, the customs officer at Don Mueang Airport insists that I should enter Japan as my country of residence because I am Japanese. The staff at the input booth also said that this is incorrect. I believe that the correct procedures are not well established, so I hope for improvements.
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 12th, 2025 11:07 PM
What type of visa did you enter Thailand with?

If it is a short-term visa, the officer's response is likely correct.

Many people choose Thailand as their country of residence when applying for a TDAC and enter Thailand.

I might extend my trip and change my return date from Thailand back to India. Can I update the return date and flight details after arriving in Thailand?
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 12th, 2025 12:29 AM
For the TDAC it's not required at the moment to update anything after your arrival date.

Only your current plans on the day of your arrival need to be on the TDAC.
0
SuhadaSuhadaMay 11th, 2025 4:49 PM
If I use the border pass but have already filled out the TDAC form. I am only going for one day, how do I cancel it?
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 11th, 2025 5:41 PM
Although you only enter for a day, or even just for an hour and then leave, you still need the TDAC. Everyone entering Thailand through the border must fill out the TDAC, regardless of how long they stay.

The TDAC also does not need to be canceled. When you do not use it, it will expire on its own.
-1

Hi, do you know if the same digital arrival card is used when leaving Thailand? I filled out the form at the kiosk on arrival, but I'm not sure if that covers departure? Thank you, Terry.
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 11th, 2025 3:44 PM
At the moment they do not ask for the TDAC when leaving Thailand, but it is starting to be required for some types of visa submissions from within Thailand.

For example, the LTR visa is requiring the TDAC if you arrived after May 1st.
0
AnonymousAnonymousMay 11th, 2025 3:46 PM
The TDAC is only required for entry at the moment, but this may change in the future.

It appears the BOI is already requiring the TDAC for applicants applying within Thailand for the LTR if they arrived after May 1st.
