During the TM6, there was a stub at the time of departure. Is there anything required at the time of departure this time? If the departure date is unknown when filling out the TDAC, is it okay not to fill it in?

AnonymousAnonymousApril 3rd, 2025 10:03 AM
Depending on the visa, an exit date may be required.

For example, if you enter without a visa, an exit date is required, but if you enter with a long-term visa, an exit date is not required.

Yes, but simply select the same arrival and departure date.

This will automatically select the option 'I am a transit passenger'.

I am Laotian. My travel plan is to drive from Laos to park at the Chong Mek border on the Laos side. After checking the documents, I will walk into the Thai side and hire a Thai pickup truck to take me to Ubon Ratchathani Airport and then fly to Bangkok. My travel date is May 1, 2025. How should I fill out the form regarding my arrival information and travel details?

Yes, but you can do it while you are in the car.

I don't understand because vehicles from Laos do not drive into Thailand. At the Chong Mek checkpoint, they hire Thai tour vehicles, so I want to know which vehicle registration I need to provide.

The Departure field is optional, so in your case, you should leave it blank.

If you complete the form, the departure date and flight number is a mandatory field. You cannot submit the form without it.

1) Must be at most 3 days before your arrival

So technically you can if you are arriving on May 1st, then you would be applying before May 1st, as early as April 28th.

If I forget to apply, can I apply just before entering?

If you are scheduled to enter on May 1, you can apply starting from April 28. Please apply for the TDAC as early as possible. It is recommended to apply in advance for a smooth entry.
0

Even holding a Non-O visa? Since TDAC is a card replacing TM6. But Non-O visa holders don’t need TM6 before. Does that mean they still need to apply for TDAC before arrival?
0
AnonymousAnonymousApril 2nd, 2025 12:57 PM
Non-o holders always needed to fill out the TM6.

You may be confused as they temporarily suspended the TM6 requirements.

"Bangkok, 17 October 2024 – Thailand has extended the suspension of the requirement to fill out the ‘To Mo 6’ (TM6) immigration form for foreign travellers entering and exiting Thailand at 16 land and sea checkpoints until 30 April 2025"

Upon completion of TDAC, can the visitor use E-gate for arrival?
0
AnonymousAnonymousApril 2nd, 2025 5:26 AM
Not likely as the Thailand arrival e-gate is more related to Thai nationals and select foreign passport holders.

The TDAC is not related to your visa type, so it's safe to assume that you will not be able to use the arrival e-gate.

Foreigners entering Thailand using a Border Pass. Is it referring to Malaysian Border Pass or is it any other type of Border Pass?
0
AnonymousAnonymousApril 1st, 2025 3:26 PM
What if the passport does not have a family name? In the screenshots, it's compulsory to put a family name; in that case, what should a user do?

Generally, there is an option that says 'Don't have a family name' on other countries' websites like Vietnam, China, and Indonesia.

It is stated that the TDAC application must be made 3 days before entering the country.
Question 1: 3 days AT MOST?
If yes, how many days AT EARLIEST before entering the country?
Question 2: How long to receive the result if living in the EU?
Question 3: Are these rules likely to change by January 2026?
Question 4: What about the visa exemption: will it be reverted to 30 days or remain at 60 days starting January 2026?
Thank you for answering all these 4 questions by sworn persons (please no "I believe that or I read or heard that"
-1
AnonymousAnonymousApril 1st, 2025 5:01 AM
1) It is not possible to apply more than 3 days before entering the country.

2) Approval is instant, even for EU residents.

3) No one can predict the future, but these measures seem to be intended for the long term. For example, the TM6 form has been in place for over 40 years.

4) To date, no official announcement has been made regarding the duration of the visa exemption starting January 2026. Therefore, it remains unknown.

3 days before entry: it's a bit rushed, but okay.
So: if I plan my entry to Thailand on January 13, 2026: from which date EXACTLY must I send my TDAC application at the earliest (since my flight would leave on January 12): the 9th or the 10th of January (considering the time difference between France and Thailand on those dates)?
0
AnonymousAnonymousApril 2nd, 2025 10:16 PM
Please respond, thank you.
0

It's based on Thailand time.

So if the arrival date is January 12th, you would be able to submit as early as January 9th (in Thailand).

You can screenshot it without even getting the email they show it at the end of the application.
1
AnonymousAnonymousMarch 31st, 2025 6:42 PM
This seems to be okay as long as we can type in the information they need. If we have to start uploading things like photos, fingerprints, etc. it will be too much work.

No document upload is required, just a 2-3 page form.

Looks like an early error, maybe select nationality for now because all non-Thais need to fill it out according to current info.

Yes, will do so. Seems the application more focused on tourist and short term visitors and not so much considering the specific situation of long term visa holders. Besides TDAC, „East German“ doesn’t exist anymore since November 1989!

As a Thailand privilege member, I am granted a one-year stamp upon entry (extendable at immigration). How can I provide a departure flight? I agree with this requirement for the visa exemption and visa on arrival tourists. However, for long-term visa holders, departure flights should not be a mandatory requirement in my opinion.

I never completed the TM6, so I'm not sure how closely the information sought compares with that on the TM6, so apologies if this is a stupid question. My flight leaves the UK on 31 May and I have a connection to Bangkok, departing on 1 June. In the travel details section of the TDAC, would my boarding point be the first leg from the UK, or the connection from Dubai?
