Thailand has implemented the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) which has replaced the paper TM6 immigration form for all foreign nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea.
The TDAC streamlines entry procedures and enhances the overall travel experience for visitors to Thailand.
Here's a comprehensive guide to the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system.
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is an online form that has replaced the paper-based TM6 arrival card. It provides convenience for all foreigners entering Thailand by air, land, or sea. The TDAC is used to submit entry information and health declaration details before arriving in the country, as authorized by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand.

All foreigners entering Thailand are required to submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card before their arrival, with the following exceptions:
Foreigners should submit their arrival card information within 3 days before arriving in Thailand, including the date of arrival. This allows sufficient time for processing and verification of the information provided.
The TDAC system streamlines the entry process by digitizing the information collection that was previously done using paper forms. To submit the Digital Arrival Card, foreigners can access the Immigration Bureau website at http://tdac.immigration.go.th. The system offers two submission options:
Submitted information can be updated anytime before travel, giving travelers flexibility to make changes as needed.
The application process for the TDAC is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly. Here are the basic steps to follow:

Note that all details must be entered in English. For dropdown fields, you can type three characters of the desired information, and the system will automatically display relevant options for selection.
To complete your TDAC application, you will need to prepare the following information:
Please note that the Thailand Digital Arrival Card is not a visa. You must still ensure you have the appropriate visa or qualify for visa exemption to enter Thailand.
The TDAC system offers several advantages over the traditional paper-based TM6 form:
While the TDAC system offers many benefits, there are some limitations to be aware of:
As part of the TDAC, travelers must complete a health declaration that includes: This includes Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate for travelers from affected countries.
Important: If you declare any symptoms, you may be required to proceed to the Department of Disease Control counter before entering the immigration checkpoint.
The Ministry of Public Health has issued regulations that applicants who have travelled from or through countries declared as Yellow Fever Infected Areas must provide an International Health Certificate proving they have received a Yellow Fever vaccination.
The International Health Certificate must be submitted together with the visa application form. The traveller will also have to present the certificate to the Immigration Officer upon arrival at the port of entry in Thailand.
Nationals of the countries listed below who have not travelled from/through those countries do not require this certificate. However, they should possess concrete evidence showing that their domicile is not in an infected area to prevent unnecessary inconvenience.
The TDAC system allows you to update most of your submitted information anytime before your travel. However, as mentioned earlier, certain key personal identifiers cannot be changed. If you need to modify these critical details, you may need to submit a new TDAC application.
To update your information, simply revisit the TDAC website and log in using your reference number and other identifying information.

A 7-year-old child holding an Italian passport traveling back to Thailand in June with a Thai mother needs to fill out the TDAC for the child, right?
If you haven't bought a return ticket, do you need to fill it out or can you skip it?
Return information is optional
There is a fundamental flaw in this. For those residing in Thailand, it does NOT give Thailand as an option for Country of Residence.
The TAT announced already that this would be fixed by April 28th.
Do you need to fill out a TDAC with a retirement visa and a re-entry?
All expats must do this before coming to Thailand from another country.
Convenient
Do I need to fill out twice if I'm coming first to Thailand and then flying to another foreign country and then flying back to Thailand?
Yes, it is required for each entry into Thailand
Asking for business people, what about those who have urgent matters and want to fly immediately, they buy and fly right away, how should they fill out the information 3 days in advance? Also, people who do this often are afraid of flying; whenever they are ready, they just buy the ticket and fly.
Within 3 days before your travel date, so you can fill it out on the same day as your travel date as well.

WHAT TO DO WHEN RESIDENTS ARE ADVISED TO FILL IN THAILAND AS COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE BUT IT IS NOT LISTED IN THE PROPOSED COUNTRIES.....
The TAT announced that Thailand will be available on the trial country list when the program launches on April 28.
Does this replace the need to register a TM30?
No, it does not.
What about Thai citizens who have lived outside of Thailand for more than six months and are married to a foreigner? Do they have to register for the TDAC?
Thai citizens do not need to do the TDAC
I arrive in Bangkok on 27th April. I have domestic flights to Krabi on the 29th and fly to Koh Samui on May 4th. Will I need TDAC because I am flying within Thailand after May 1st?
No, only required if entering Thailand.
Domestic travel does not matter.
Domestic flight not, only when you enter Thailand.
I’m going to get there April 30. Do I need to apply TDAC?
No you do not! It is only for arrivals starting May 1st

Please note that instead of SWITZERLAND, the list displays THE SWISS CONFEDERATION, moreover in the list of states ZURICH is missing which prevents me from continuing the process.
เพียงแค่พิมพ์ ZUERICH และมันก็ใช้ได้
Thai Privilege (Thai elite) members didn't write anything when entering Thailand. But this time do they also need to write this form? If so, It's VERY inconvenient !!!
This is false. Thai Privilege (Thai elite) members did need to fill out TM6 cards when they were previously required.
So yes you still need to complete the TDAC even with Thai Elite.
If a hotel was listed on the card, but upon arrival it was changed to another hotel, should it be modified?
Most likely not, as it is related to entering Thailand
What about the airline details? Should they be entered correctly, or when making them, should we provide only initial information to create the card?
It needs to match when you are entering Thailand.
So if hotel, or airline charges before you have entered then you must update it.
After you already arrived it shouldn't matter anymore if you decided to switch hotels.
I'm entering via train so what to put under 'flight/vehicle num' section?
You select Other, and put Train
Hello, I will be traveling back to Thailand in 4 months. I would like to know if a 7-year-old child holding a Swedish passport needs to fill it out as well? And do Thai citizens holding a Thai passport need to fill it out when entering Thailand?
Thai nationals do not need to complete the TDAC, but must add their children to the TDAC
Currently, how many months can Germans stay in Thailand without a visa?
60 days, extendable for another 30 days while in Thailand
Hello, I will spend 1 night in Thailand and then go to Cambodia, returning 1 week later to spend 3 weeks in Thailand. I need to fill out this document upon my arrival, but do I need to fill out another one when I return from Cambodia? Thank you
You must do it for each trip to Thailand.
I wonder whether you thought through how private yachts can come from countries more than 3 days at sea without internet, e.g., sailing from Madagascar
Time to get a Sat phone, or Starlink.
I'm sure you can afford it..
I wonder whether you thought through how private yachts can come from countries more than 3 days at sea without internet, e.g., sailing from Madagascar
Still required, you should get access to the internet, there are options.
Do people who already have a NON-O visa and have a re-entry visa to Thailand have to do the TDAC?
Yes, you still need to complete the TDAC
I live and work in Thailand, but we cannot enter Place of Residence as Thailand so what should we enter?
Your passport country for now.
The TAT just announced an update about this saying that Thailand will be added to the drop down.
If I come to Thailand for tourism and stay at my wife's house for 21 days, and if I have completed the TDAC online 3 days before traveling to Thailand, do I still need to report to the immigration office or police station?
Do those holding a Thai residence permit or have a work visa (with a work permit) need to fill out TM6 online as well?
Yes, you still have to
Hi, I arrive in Thailand and will be there for 4 days, I then fly to Cambodia for 5 days before returning to Thailand for 12 more days. Do I have to re-submit TDAC before I re-enter Thailand from Cambodia?
You would have to do it each time you enter Thailand.
I hold a Non-0 (retirement) visa. Each annual extension by immigration services adds a number and date of validity for the last annual extension. I assume that is the number that needs to be entered? Correct or not?
That is an optional field
So my NON-O visa is about 8 years old and I annually get the extension based on retirement which comes with a number and expiration date. So what exactly should one enter in the field visa in that case?
You can enter the original visa number, or the extension number.
Do diplomatic passport holders also have to fill out
Yes, they would be required to (the same as the TM6).
If I forget to fill out the TDAC, can I complete the formalities at Bangkok airport?
It is not clear. Airlines may require it before boarding.
I think it is already clear. The TDAC must be filled out at least 3 days before arrival.
I stay in Thailand. When I want to fill in the 'Country of residence', it's impossible. Thailand is not included in the list of countries.
This is a known issue at the moment; for now, choose your passport country.
Dear Sir/Madam, I have identified several issues with your new DAC online system.
I just tried to submit for a date in May. I realize that the system is not operational yet but I could complete most of the boxes/fields.
I note that this system is for all non-Thais, regardless of visa/entry conditions.
I have identified the following issues.
1/Departure date and flight number is marked * and mandatory! Many people entering Thailand on long-term visas such as Non O or OA have no legal requirement to have a departure date/flight out of Thailand. We cannot submit this form online without departure flight information (date and a flight number)
2/I am a British passport holder, but as a Non O visa retiree, my country of residence and my home is in Thailand. I am also a Thailand resident for tax purposes. There is no option for me to select Thailand. The UK is not my residence. I haven't lived there for years. Do you want us to lie and select a different country?
3/So many countries on the drop-down menu are listed under 'The'. This is illogical and I have never seen a country drop-down ever that doesn't start with a country's or a state's first letter. 🤷♂️
4/What do I do if I am in a foreign country one day and make a spontaneous decision to fly to Thailand the next day, i.e., Vietnam to Bangkok? Your DAC website and information state that this should be submitted 3 days before. What if I decide to come to Thailand in 2 days' time? Am I not allowed to come under my retirement visa and re-entry permit?
This new system is supposed to be an improvement on the current one. Since you disposed of the TM6, the current system is easy.
This new system has not been thought through and is not logical.
I submit my constructive criticism with respect to help shape this system before it goes live on 1 May 2025, before it causes many visitors and immigration a headache.
1) It's actually optional.
2) For now, you should still choose UK.
3) It's not perfect, but since it's an autocomplete field, it will still show the correct result.
4) You can submit it as soon as you're ready. There's nothing stopping you from submitting it on the same day you travel.
To whom it may concern, I'm traveling in June. I am retired and now want to retire in Thailand. Will there be a problem purchasing a one-way ticket? In other words, will I need any other documentation?
This has very little to do with the TDAC, and more to do with the visa you will be arriving on.
If you just arrive without any visa then yes, you will run into issues without having a return flight.
You should join the Facebook groups mentioned on this website, and ask this, and provide more context.
My boss has an APEC card. Do they need this TDAC or not? Thanks
Yes, your boss is still required. He would have still had to do the TM6, so he will also need to do the TDAC.
Hello. If arriving by bus, the vehicle # will be unknown
You can pick Other and put BUS.
Starting from May 1st, do I need to fill it out if I go to Thailand at the end of April?
If you arrive before May 1st, you do not need to take any action.
Is the TDAC application from 3 days prior? Or is it until 3 days prior?
You can apply up to 3 days in advance, so it is also possible to apply on the same day, the day before, or a few days prior.
I am in Japan and will be entering Thailand on 1 MAY 2025. I will depart at 08:00 AM and arrive in Thailand at 11:30 AM. Can I do this on 1 MAY 2025 while on the airplane?
You can do it as early as April 28th in your case.
Is there an app?
This is not an app, but a web form.
At the time of TM6, there was a stub at the time of departure. This time, is there anything required at the time of departure? If the departure schedule is unclear when filling out the TDAC, is it okay not to fill it out?
Depending on the visa, a departure date may be required.
For example, if entering without a visa, a departure date is required, but if entering with a long-term visa, a departure date is not necessary.
What should Japanese residents in Thailand do?
If entering Thailand from abroad, you need to fill out the TDAC.
My arrival date on 30th April morning time 7.00 am do I need to submit the TDAC form Please Advise me Thank you
No as you arrive before May 1st.
My name is saleh
No one cares
In the case of a Laotian still in Thailand, how should I proceed to continue my passport for exit and then re-enter Thailand? Please provide some advice.
They will fill out the TDAC form and select the travel mode as 'LAND'.
I arrive at Bangkok airport and have my connecting flight 2 hours later. Do I still need the form?
Yes, but just select the same arrival and departure date.
This will automatically select the option 'I am a transit passenger'.
I am Laotian. My journey is that I drive from Laos to park at the Chong Mek border checkpoint on the Laos side. Then, when I check my documents and walk into Thailand, I will hire a Thai pickup truck to take me to Ubon Ratchathani Airport and board a flight to Bangkok. My travel date is May 1, 2025. How should I fill out the form regarding arrival information and travel details?
They will fill out the TDAC form and select the travel mode as 'LAND'.
You need to enter the vehicle registration number from Laos or the hired vehicle.
Yes, but you can do it while you are in the car.
I don't understand because the vehicle from Laos does not drive into Thailand. At the Chong Mek checkpoint, I will hire a Thai tour vehicle, so I want to know which vehicle registration number I need to enter.
If you walk across the border into Thailand, select 'Other' and there is no need to fill in the vehicle registration number.
Returning to Thailand with a Non-O visa, I obviously do not have a return flight! What future date should I put for the exit and what flight number should I use since I do not have it yet?
The Departure field is optional, so in your case, you should leave it blank.
If you complete the form, the departure date and flight number is a mandatory field. You cannot submit the form without it.
Arriving on private yacht from Australia. 30 days sailing time. Cannot get online to submit until I actually arrive in Phuket. Is this acceptable?
